FROM THE FRENCH BREWERY MUSEUM...

The French Brewery Museum was created in 1988, primarily as a heritage attraction to showcase the old Saint-Nicolas-de-Port brewery site. From 1993, the managers decided to widen its remit, making it a venue for current brewing culture too.
They installed a small demonstration brewery. Shortly afterwards, they began organising training courses, a beer competition and talks for amateur and craft brewers. To meet a growing number of requests, they also launched a trade show focusing on equipment and supplies for small breweries.

... TO THE SALON DU BRASSEUR

Building on its success, this show has become the flagship event for brewers. They come to see and buy specialised supplies and equipment, to listen to technical presentations, an excellent CPD resource, and to meet other brewers.

By 2017, the Salon du Brasseur had outgrown the museum site. Arrangements were made to move the show to a larger, purpose-built venue at Nancy Expo Park.

Since 2018, the show has been held at Nancy Expo Park. Please support the Salon du Brasseur and ensure it continues to be recognised across the sector as a welcoming place to meet and network.

2026: Opening to the Beverage Industry

Starting in 2026, the Salon du Brasseur will become the Salon du Brasseur & de la Boisson

This new identity marks a strategic shift: expanding its scope to showcase techniques, expertise, and innovations to all beverage professionals, while remaining true to its core identity.

The technological skills and technical challenges historically linked to brewing are now shared by numerous sectors: wines, champagnes, fermented beverages, no/low-fat drinks, and more.

Fermentation, production processes, equipment, ingredients, quality control, and energy efficiency are all cross-cutting themes at the heart of the event.

This evolution does not come at the expense of the beer industry; rather, it enhances it within a broader ecosystem, fostering synergies, diversification, and innovation.
